Taylor Pardell is a classically trained soprano and actor with a passion for musical theatre, opera, film, and television. She has a base in both New York City & London.
Taylor is a graduate of Vancouver Opera’s Yulanda M. Faris Young Artist Program. She received her M.Mus in Opera from the University of British Columbia, a B.Mus in Voice from the University of Toronto, a Dip.Mus in Voice from the Victoria Conservatory of Music, and an ARCT Certificate in Voice Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music.
With Vancouver Opera, she performed the role of Gretel in Hansel and Gretel, La Fée in Cendrillion (Viardot), and Barbarina/Susanna u/s in Le Nozze di Figaro. Other performance credits include: Gilda (Rigoletto), Olympia (Les contes d’Hoffmann), Ensemble/Betty Haynes u/s (White Christmas), and the title role in The Cunning Little Vixen/Příhody Lišky Bystroušky. Her concert repertoire includes Cunegonde (Candide), Juliette (Roméo et Juliette), Nanetta (Falstaff), Frasquita (Carmen), Musetta (La Bohème), Handel’s Messiah, and Mozart’s Mass in C Minor.
Ms. Pardell has been a soloist with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra, the Vancouver Opera Orchestra, and Opera Kelowna. She has been a Semi-Finalist in the Lotte Lenya Competition, Winner of the American Protégé Competition, Runner Up at the National Music Festival of Canada and the Voices of Brooklyn Competition.
Taylor is the soprano member of Top Classical Crossover group Vivace. She has enjoyed being a national anthem singer (performing for the Toronto Blue Jays vs. Boston Red Sox) and having her voice performance videos used as part of the Pre-Show Entertainment for Metallica: WorldWired Tour.
