Canadian soprano Taylor Pardell is currently in the 40th Anniversary cast of The Phantom of the Opera in London’s West End, where she covers the role of Christine Daaé. Taylor has performed Christine numerous times to date.

Taylor was featured performing in the opening number of the 2026 Olivier Awards at Royal Albert Hall and was recently seen as one of four Christine Daaés at the 2026 West End LIVE event in Trafalgar Square, London.
 

A graduate of Vancouver Opera’s Yulanda M. Faris Young Artist Program, Taylor holds an M.Mus in Opera from the University of British Columbia, a B.Mus in Voice from the University of Toronto, a Dip.Mus in Voice from the Victoria Conservatory of Music, and an ARCT Certificate in Voice Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music.

With Vancouver Opera, she performed Gretel in Hansel and Gretel, La Fée in Cendrillon (Viardot), and covered Barbarina/Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro. Other performance credits include Gilda (Rigoletto), Olympia (Les contes d’Hoffmann), ensemble/cover Betty Haynes in White Christmas, and the title role in The Cunning Little Vixen (Příhody Lišky Bystroušky). Her concert repertoire features Cunegonde (Candide), Juliette (Roméo et Juliette), Nanetta (Falstaff), Frasquita (Carmen), Musetta (La Bohème), as well as Handel’s Messiah and Mozart’s Mass in C Minor.

Taylor has appeared as a soloist with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Okanagan Symphony Orchestra, Vancouver Opera Orchestra, and Opera Kelowna. She has been a semi-finalist in the Lotte Lenya Competition, winner of the American Protégé Competition, and a runner-up at both the National Music Festival of Canada and the Voices of Brooklyn Competition. She was the soprano member of the classical crossover group Vivace, has performed national anthems for major sporting events (including Toronto Blue Jays vs. Boston Red Sox), and has had her performance videos featured as pre-show entertainment for Metallica’s WorldWired Tour.
